Gretchen is the Director of Education for the American Philatelic Society, the nation’s oldest and largest organization to serve stamp collectors. She works with APS members from all walks of life and collecting areas, with adult beginner stamp collectors, with educators, and with teenagers and children. Volunteers at APS headquarters process donations on a weekly basis, donations we need to offer Education Department programs. She coordinates the efforts of all of these people to provide the vital programs that allow APS members to enjoy the hobby as they learn the breadth and depth of what stamp collecting has to offer.

Gretchen came to the APS in 2007 after working in a charter school and in Christian education. She has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University. She and her husband live in Bellefonte with their daughter when she is home from college.
